The Bürgenstock Collection of hotels have chosen to partner with Green Globe. Green Globe is a certification and advisory program for sustainable tourism and travel, aimed at helping businesses in the hospitality industry operate in an environmentally and socially responsible manner.
Therefore, our group has defined a sustainability management plan in Switzerland based on three core pillars: environmental topics such as waste reduction, water conservation and energy efficiency, sociocultural topics which includes community engagement, sustainable events and staff engagement. And finally, communication where we improve guest communication and engagement, internal communication workflows and the decision making processes.

Recently, the Bürgenstock Resort unveiled an ambitious sustainability plan, reaffirming its commitment to environmental stewardship. With initiatives from bio diversity to sustainable food waste. The Bürgenstock Resort has been a leader in sustainability since its opening in 2017 and continues to build upon these values. All water utilised in the Bürgenstock Resort except for drinking and showering is sourced from the lake Lucerne. The Waldhotel Health & Wellbeing facade is made of larch wood which is partially covered by plants. The journey up to the Bürgenstock Resort is via hybrid catamaran and funicular and the tracks for the funicular have been modified so local wildlife can safely traverse in their habitat.

Some of the many initiatives that the Royal Savoy are apart of include all cleaning products are sustainable to the environment. The Royal Savoy supports local partners in its partnerships, this includes local produce for the Brasserie.

Renowned for its luxurious accommodations and historic charm, it now unveils a visionary sustainability plan. Committed to reducing its environmental footprint, the hotel aims to redefine luxury with eco-conscious practices, ensuring a greener, more responsible stay. Among some of the many practices, The Schweizerhof Bern cares for up to 150,000 bees on the rooftop of the hotel to help the extinction of bees in the city. In the meantime, the bees produce up to 85kg of honey that is ecology used in the breakfast and as part of the honey massage in the spa.
